About
Phonics and Fluency Repair is a parent-led phonics and reading fluency intervention program designed to help traditional and homeschool students in grades 4–8 decode unfamiliar words and read with greater speed, accuracy, and expression—step by step, at home. If your child struggles with longer words, reads slowly or choppy, loses their place, or avoids reading aloud, this program gives you a clear plan to close those gaps. You'll learn how to pinpoint what's breaking down (decoding multisyllabic words, sight word automaticity, phrasing, or reading rate) and use simple, repeatable routines to rebuild phonics and fluency skills. Each lesson includes guided practice, parent-friendly strategies, and tools you can use right away—without needing to be a reading teacher. By the end of the program, you'll have a practical intervention system you can continue using with any text, helping your child read with greater accuracy, smoother fluency, and renewed confidence. **Best for: Parents of grades 4–8 students who struggle with decoding/sounding out words (also known as phonics) and reading fluency **Format: Parent-led, structured lessons with printable tools and routines **Outcome: A clear at-home plan to repair phonics and fluency gaps and build more confident, independent readers This course includes 5 modules with brief video explanations, modeling, strategies, and printable templates/resources to help readers improve their decoding skills and build reading fluency.
