About
Comprehension Gap Repair is a parent-led reading intervention program grades 4-8 is designed to help traditional and homeschool students in grades 4–8 strengthen understanding of what they read—step by step, at home. If your child can read the words but struggles to explain, summarize, infer, or answer questions with confidence, this program gives you a clear plan to close those gaps. You’ll learn how to pinpoint what’s breaking down (vocabulary, background knowledge, main idea, inference, or monitoring for meaning) and use simple, repeatable routines to rebuild comprehension skills. Each lesson includes guided practice, kid-friendly strategies, and tools you can use right away—without needing to be a reading teacher. By the end of the program, you’ll have a practical intervention system you can continue using with any text, helping your child read with stronger understanding, greater confidence, and less frustration. **Best for:** Parents of grades 4–8 students who struggle with comprehension **Format:** Parent-led, structured lessons with printable tools and routines **Outcome:** A clear at-home plan to repair comprehension gaps and build independent readers This course includes 5 modules with brief video explanations, modeling, strategies, and printable templates/resources to help readers improve their skills and increase comprehension.
